United Grain Corporation gives back by making corporate donations to charitable causes, giving employees a voice in which charities the company supports, and making it easier for its team members to donate their time to community activities.
The company offers paid time off for volunteer work and matches charitable donations made by employees.
In the communities it serves, corporate donations support school sports teams, events that contribute to the growth of business and employment, and when needed, aid with disaster relief.
However, company outreach doesn’t end with financial support. Many of our employees at our country locations are volunteer firefighters. Many team members coach high school sports teams or participate in a variety of local events that contribute to the vitality of their communities.
At our Vancouver Export Terminal, we have led educational tours for students, enabling young people to learn about the grain industry and its opportunities. And we have made the terminal’s 300-foot-tall grain silo available for our local firefighter training.
